Comments: Fog rolled in at 08:00, bringing the session to a premature end

A brief exchange of notes with Adrian confirms that there were actually at least three Short-eared Owls at Holme NWT on Thursday afternoon: two along the track and adjacent dunes and a bird heading west at great height over the grazing marshes. These must surely be returning migrants and other than during an autumn seawatch, three must be the highest numbers seen on the site for many years.
