A cold Saturday........

produced 6 Barnacle Geese on the grazing marshes (with an aborted northwards foray out to sea) and a Dunlin and Little Ringed Plover amongst the usual species on the pools and a pair of Mediterranean Gulls east over the marshes in the early afternoon. Signs of insect life were few and far between other than in sunny, sheltered areas, where fly diversity is evidently on the increase.
